I understand perfectly. I am still not over it.

Understanding a situation does not mean your emotions are already done with it.

There are situations that you can explain flawlessly and that still bother you. You have all the arguments, you know what doesn't work, you have drawn the conclusion. Then it's evening and you find that the emotional part did not participate in the meeting.

I don't think this invalidates the conclusion. You can know that a choice was appropriate and it will be difficult for you. You can miss someone without wanting the relationship back. Not every internal contradiction is proof that you lied.

The problem arises when we try to reduce everything to a competition: either I think logically, or I follow my heart. As if emotions do not contain information, and arguments are always devoid of fear, arrogance or convenient justifications. The mind can very elegantly explain things that it simply does not want to accept.

I would separate three questions. What happened, specifically? How do I feel about this? What do I choose to do next? The answers are related, but not interchangeable. The fact that I miss someone says something about me now. It does not prove that the problems since then have disappeared.

Forcing a new decision just to get rid of discomfort doesn't necessarily seem clear to me either. Sometimes I need to stop negotiating the same situation every night and leave a little time between emotion and action. Sometimes new information appears and it is worth revising my conclusion. It is important to know what has changed: reality or just the intensity of the moment.

Not everything I understand is settled immediately. It seems to me a bit high expectation to ask the heart for signed minutes on the same day.
